Software Developer for Medical Underwriting

Join our Life & Health, Risk Assessment team at Hannover Re as a Software Developer for Medical Underwriting. This is a permanent position where you will have the opportunity to contribute to our innovative projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining content management systems (CMS) for our reinsurance underwriting manual.
  • Supporting local offices worldwide with content change requests.
  • Collaborating with various departments to enhance our underwriting manual.
  • Developing and maintaining web-based applications.
  • Gathering requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
  • Implementing responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Providing technical support for CMS and web-based applications.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT programming, focusing on content management systems.
  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in web-based applications development, including HTML/CSS.
  • A basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
  • Knowledge of medical underwriting (primary insurance and/or reinsurance).
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and the .NET Framework.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Business fluent in German and English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
