ROLE OVERVIEW

As a **Senior Knowledge Consultant** within the **Industrial Goods Practice Area** at BCG, you will engage with a dynamic global team, delivering expertise and insights in the **metals and mining sector**. Your role will involve collaborating with project and proposal teams to furnish knowledge assets, conduct analyses, and provide expert guidance. You will act as a thought partner and content authority, aiding in the structuring and resolution of intricate challenges.


In addition, you will spearhead the creation of intellectual property and knowledge resources to bolster the **Non-Ferrous Metals & Recycling** sector, contributing actively to commercialization initiatives while partnering with business leaders to enhance proposal and market strategies. You will also play a pivotal role in onboarding, mentoring, and guiding junior team members, sharing best practices to foster team growth.


We collaborate with clients in the **Industrial Goods** sector across various regions to pinpoint their most valuable opportunities, tackle pressing challenges, and transform their operations. This position emphasizes the **Non-Ferrous Metals & Recycling Industry**, where our tailored approach integrates profound insights into market dynamics with close cooperation at all organizational levels. This ensures our clients achieve a sustainable competitive edge, develop more capable organizations, and secure enduring results.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in **environmental science**, **materials science**, **metallurgy**, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
  • Technical knowledge in **metals refining**, **processing**, and **recycling** processes is advantageous, along with familiarity with regulatory compliance and environmental policies in the metals recycling sector
  • A minimum of 2 years of consulting experience is required; alternatively, at least 3 years of industry experience is necessary, with 4-6 years being strongly preferred
  • Fluency in **English**; proficiency in **German** is a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders
