The Opportunity

ZEISS is embarking on a transformative journey to standardize and harmonize business processes across its global operations. With over 14,000 employees working with existing SAP ERP systems, the company aims to leverage the power of SAP S/4HANA to drive efficiency, effectiveness, speed, flexibility, and compliance. As a key player in this initiative, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ZEISS's business processes.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Expert S/4HANA Master Data Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of end-to-end master data management processes and business requirements within an SAP environment. Key responsibilities will include managing regional business requirements, driving process adaptations, and providing guidance to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage regional business requirements, including business roles and data design, in the context of the global template SAP S/4HANA system.
  • Drive adaptation of end-to-end business processes towards FIT4 goals of harmonization and standardization.
  • Provide guidance and steer junior hub business experts in requirements analysis and business process modelling.
  • Design and own test cases, conducting functional end-to-end tests in the SAP S/4HANA system.
  • Actively contribute to the roll-in of assigned roll-in projects in a region.
  • Contribute to the creation of training materials and support end-user training, as organized by the training lead.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • More than 2 years of relevant professional experience in Master Data Management, with longer experience welcome.
  • In-depth understanding of Master Data Management, including Material master data, Business partner master data, and Management of master data for variant configuration.
  • Proven experience with business requirements management and design of business processes.
  • Experience with SAP R/3 (and ideally SAP S/4HANA) as well as relevant third-party business systems.
  • Relevant industry knowledge.
  • Excellent conceptual, results-oriented, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build networks and keenness to work in an intercultural and interdisciplinary global team.
  • Business fluent in English and an additional language.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with occasional overnight travel and weekend work.
