Environmental and Social Specialist

Your Role

We are seeking an Environmental and Social Specialist to join our team in Frankfurt am Main. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for categorizing and assessing environmental and social risks of financing projects. This includes designing and monitoring in-depth environmental and social studies, managing environmental and social concepts, and supervising external experts.

Your Responsibilities
  • Categorize and assess environmental and social risks of financing projects
  • Design and monitor in-depth environmental and social studies
  • Manage environmental and social concepts and monitoring during project phases
  • Supervise external experts
  • Participate in stakeholder dialogue and design training courses on regulations and standards
  • Further develop technical standards for assessing environmental and social risks
Your Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a Master's degree in natural or social sciences, a focus on environmental protection, nature conservation, and resource management. You should have expert knowledge and practical experience in environmental and social impact assessment, particularly in the application of standards and assessment criteria of the World Bank Group, the EU, and the Equator Principles. Strong analytical skills, flexibility, and a high degree of communication, cooperation, and assertiveness are essential for this role.
