IT-System Engineer for Simulation Solutions

We are seeking to enhance our IT department by bringing on board an IT-System Engineer who is enthusiastic about tailored implementations for our simulation platform solutions. Key Responsibilities:- Assessing, strategizing, and executing sustainable and secure simulation platforms within diverse IT environments (including on-premises, cloud, or hybrid systems).
- Setting up client/server frameworks on physical systems or utilizing virtualization technologies (such as VMWare, KVM).
- Installing and configuring contemporary applications, particularly for high-performance computing (HPC) or automation of simulation workflows and simulation data management (SPDM).
- Providing support with licensing, operations (including updates and patch management), and custom configurations of client environments (2nd level support within service level agreements).
- Designing and testing innovative solutions, including containerized cloud computing options across platforms like AWS, Azure, or OTC.
- Configuring networks to ensure the secure operation of IT infrastructures (e.g., VPN).
- Degree or training in IT engineering, IT specialization, system administration, cloud solution architecture, or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of client/server systems on both Windows (Server) and Linux platforms.
- Experience in deploying simulation software, job schedulers, web servers, SQL databases, and Infiniband networks.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Familiarity with computer-aided simulation is advantageous.
