Key Responsibilities

As the Environmental Operations Manager, you will spearhead the formulation of waste management strategies and onboard waste disposal practices aimed at improving environmental performance, optimizing costs, and realizing substantial savings through strategic initiatives and financial planning.

  • Formulate and enhance waste management strategies and onboard waste disposal practices for all vessels
  • Collaborate closely with Costa and Aida vessels as well as relevant shore-side departments
  • Develop and project the environmental port cost plan in partnership with financial teams
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement necessary actions for their achievement
  • Oversee and assess environmental port expenditures and conduct monthly variance evaluations

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
  • Specialization in environmental management systems with relevant experience in the maritime sector
  • Background in finance and controlling with expertise in financial reporting
  • Experience in ship operations or cruise technology is a plus
  • Proficiency in English, Italian, and/or German
  • Strong skills in Office 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Hyperion, QlikView, and Power BI is advantageous
  • Knowledge of MXP is a benefit
  • Service-oriented with outstanding communication abilities
  • Minimum of 3 years in a managerial role
