We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to enhance our team in Munich, Germany.

In this pivotal role, the IT Support Engineer will be instrumental in boosting user productivity and sustaining the organization’s IT framework. This position represents the second tier of technical assistance, working alongside internal teams to identify and resolve intricate IT challenges faced by users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and rectify complex technical issues impacting hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Ensure system performance and reliability through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee the ticketing system, prioritizing and addressing incidents within established service level agreements.
  • Provide training and support to users on IT systems, applications, and tools.
  • Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of staff, managing access control within Active Directory.
  • Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security measures.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies and data protection regulations.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices in IT support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver efficient and responsive IT assistance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of the knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in providing onsite IT support at a second line level.
  • Fluency in both German and English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365 and/or Azure environments, with relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Advanced understanding of Windows Server and Workstation administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory and networking concepts, including user management, security groups, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical issues, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional user support and service, prioritizing user satisfaction.
  • Experience working independently in a stand-alone position.
  • Willingness to work onsite at our office in Munich five days a week.
