Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Application Engineer to join our team at Samsung. As a Field Application Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers in the automotive semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical meetings with customers to promote new products and address technical issues
  • Deliver product roadmaps, features, and value propositions to customers
  • Track projects and anticipate customer's requests
  • Identify and communicate current and future customer needs and technical requirements
  • Drive development and quality teams to fulfill customer's requirements
  • Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle from promotion phase to the end of production
  • Responsible for testing, debugging, delivering, guiding, and documenting software deliverables
  • Work closely with other HW/SW FAEs, marketing team, and engineering team from all over the world in resolving customer issues

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree or equivalent in electronics, physics, or related areas
  • 5 to 10 years of technical experience in semiconductor, ideally in SoC SW development or SoC customer support
  • Experience in embedded system, C language, device driver, or middleware in Linux/Android
  • Experience with Automotive Hardware and board bring-up activity
  • Experience in Bootloader, QNX, Yocto, C++, Python, and Java is a strong plus
  • Experience in Agile process, DevOps, CI/CD is a strong plus
  • Self-starter with ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Assertive, determined, flexible, and creative personality
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Persuasive and professional presentation skills
  • Very good communication skills and ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Very good written and spoken English – additional languages are a plus
