Role Overview:
In this pivotal position, you will:
- Collaborate with sales teams to serve as the key liaison between clients, Technical Marketing, and Applications Engineering in the Aerospace, Defense, and High Reliability sectors.
- Utilize your exceptional communication abilities, strategic insight, and extensive technical expertise in power semiconductors to establish yourself as a trusted consultant for technical decision-makers.
- Identify and present optimal technology solutions tailored to meet your clients' immediate requirements, while also advocating for their feedback internally to shape future product developments.
- Foster and sustain collaborative relationships with customers through regular in-person engagements at their facilities.
- Act as a trusted resource for high-reliability hardware designers by leveraging Infineon products to address their technical challenges.
- Gain comprehensive system-level knowledge of Aerospace & Defense initiatives to support your clientele and propose innovative product concepts for Infineon's HiRel roadmap.
- Comprehend customer trajectories, technological advancements, R&D investments, and future requirements.
- Assist Technical Marketing in addressing customer application needs and defining new products and derivatives.
- Analyze competitive environments at customer sites and formulate strategies to enhance collaboration with sales to expand and increase revenue within our targeted Aerospace, Defense, and High Reliability Markets.
- Work closely with clients to design system solutions that integrate Infineon's expanding HiRel portfolio of Si/GaN/SiC power discretes, power multi-chip modules, memory, and Si/GaN power ICs.
- Guide and mentor new graduates and junior Field Applications Engineers.
Qualifications:
You are well-prepared for this role if you possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in semiconductor solution sales and/or design (5+ years as a Field Applications Engineer, applications engineer, or power hardware designer).
- In-depth knowledge of power management and motor control applications.
- The capability to cultivate positive relationships with customers and within the sales and marketing teams.
- Experience with Space (radiation-hardened) and/or Defense semiconductors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to prioritize and delegate technical inquiries based on return on investment.
- Fluency in English and German.
