Position: Student Assistant in High Voltage Testing Technology for HVDC/SVC Power Converters

Overview of Responsibilities:

In this role, you will engage in presenting your findings from recent field simulations regarding high voltage constructions. These insights will be crucial for guiding the team’s focus during forthcoming high voltage testing sessions and enhancing the overall quality of testing.

Your responsibilities will include documenting results and integrating suggestions from your peers.

Later in the day, you will participate in discussions with your colleagues to outline the specifications for a new testing protocol that you will contribute to developing. This position offers a dynamic work environment where collaboration with a skilled and enthusiastic team is encouraged.

Key Contributions:

  • Conduct electrical simulations of testing circuits
  • Perform FEM simulations of electric fields in high voltage setups
  • Assist in the development and practical assembly of testing facilities
  • Enhance documentation processes through automation

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in high voltage technology
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and preferably other simulation tools for FEM analysis
  • Desirable experience with high voltage testing apparatus and measurement technologies
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively, and systematically analyze and resolve technical challenges
