We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and international research group focused on understanding the dynamics of convergent plate boundaries.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geosciences or a related field, with a substantial interest in understanding plate-boundary kinematics and dynamics. They will be responsible for collecting data, developing and applying advanced data processing and signal analysis, and numerical or conceptual models to interpret the obtained results.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including seismology, seismotectonics, paleo-seismology, tectonic geodesy, tectonic geomorphology, and numerical/analogue modelling. They will also have the chance to collaborate with our team and foster research within and beyond geological subjects.
We are looking for a candidate who is motivated to independently develop and push forward a research project, with strong communication and writing skills, and proficiency in English. The position is suitable for part-time work and offers a range of benefits, including state-of-the-art equipment, public service benefits, and extensive training opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data and develop advanced data processing and signal analysis
