Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Air Freight Logistics Coordinator to join our team at DP World Australia. As a key member of our Freight Forwarding branch, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the initiatives of our Regional Freight Forwarding Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the creation and coordination of all services associated with air freight forwarding and logistics.
- Assist with account setup and ensure seamless communication with sales teams to provide required documentation and information.
- Monitor and audit files weekly to ensure compliance with estimate input, profit margin setting, and timely invoicing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with day-to-day requests related to export/import documentation.
- Liaise with airlines to procure the best possible solutions for capacity and cost.
- Collaborate with internal networks and external partner agents to guarantee the best possible service assistance.
- Act quickly in emergency situations that may arise during the life of an ocean file.
- Network with fellow operations colleagues to ensure proper support is given in case of workflow overload.
Requirements:
- Degree in logistics/supply chain or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry with a focus on air freight.
- Ability to drive strong execution of initiatives, ensuring that countries get things right the first time through questioning, analyzing, planning, and follow-up.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines.
- Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze numbers and attention to detail.
- Excellent command of both English and German.
