Lead of Business Solutions

To bolster our Digital Services & Operations Unit, we are in search of a new leader for the Business Solutions team who will spearhead our digital transformation through innovation and strategic insight. You will oversee one of the central teams focused on implementing digital solutions that elevate our operational processes. Collaborating closely with various departments within Welthungerhilfe, you will develop tailored solutions that truly make an impact. Together with your team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Welthungerhilfe remains forward-thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the team of Application Managers responsible for our core business applications (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) and serve as a Service & Operations Expert, ensuring the functionality of critical applications across Marketing, Finance, Logistics, Human Resources, and Project Portfolio Management.
  • As a technology specialist, you will oversee the technical management of organization-wide digital transformation and migration initiatives, significantly influencing the future application architecture.
  • Act as the primary contact and IT and process consultant for project and product managers, engaging other experts as necessary to ensure cohesive solutions.
  • Participate as a member of the transformation project steering and core teams to guarantee the achievement of overarching, business-critical objectives.
  • Address challenges, obstacles, and project risks by facilitating coordinated solutions.
  • Take responsibility for analyzing and assessing project requirements and stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and realize opportunities for optimization and consolidation of the implemented applications and systems.
  • Tackle the challenge of devising and executing solutions for integrated business and technical issues.
  • Support our external service providers and consultants while managing technical coordination.

Your Profile

  • You hold a master's or diploma degree in (business) computer science, business administration, or a related field.
  • You possess relevant experience managing complex IT projects.
  • You are knowledgeable about classic SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, HR, BI) and the SAP authorization system, ideally with experience in the SAP S/4 HANA environment and migration processes.
  • Your IT project experience is complemented by solid business acumen.
  • You have a structured approach to understanding complex and abstract relationships within IT and organizational systems.
  • You are a proactive individual with a passion for digital transformation and familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • You enjoy collaborating with diverse teams and are resilient in the face of resistance during change initiatives.
  • You can quickly adapt to new fields and situations, demonstrating an independent work style and assertiveness.
  • A certification in process optimization methods (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) would enhance your qualifications.
  • You are eager to enrich our motivated team with your expertise, energy, and sense of humor.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 is expected.
  • You have a strong command of written and spoken English; our team is international, and English is the primary working language. Proficiency in German is an advantage.
