Director of Central Operations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assume overall accountability for the effective execution of intricate and high-volume construction initiatives within the Central Region (Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Luxembourg), ensuring adherence to established budgetary, scheduling, and quality benchmarks, while complying with local regulations, permits, and internal corporate policies. Inspire and cultivate a highly skilled team of project managers across various locations, managing a team of up to 10 full-time employees. Oversee the planning, monitoring, and management of project expenditures and performance, implementing proactive risk and opportunity management strategies, including early intervention and corrective actions in the event of deviations, alongside consistent contract and claim management. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental protocols at construction sites to safeguard employee well-being and meet regulatory standards. Act as the company's representative to clients and business partners, fostering a professional and constructive relationship. Manage subcontractors and coordinate with other departments within the organization. Participate in the Central Region Management Team, driving all project management-related initiatives, including handover processes, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement efforts. Report directly to the Director of Project Management for the Central Region.CANDIDATE PROFILE
Possess a technical background with a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field. Have over 5 years of experience in overseeing civil engineering and construction projects, including full turnkey contracts, with responsibility for multi-million EURO contracts and a portfolio of projects. Demonstrate a strong history of managing operational project teams, preferably within a larger organization with complex structures, and experience in an international context. Exhibit extensive experience in leading, motivating, and developing expert teams, as well as proficiency in engaging with key business stakeholders to achieve defined objectives. Show strong strategic and analytical thinking capabilities along with the ability to implement solutions effectively. Have experience in contract negotiations. Display team-oriented qualities and strong skills in integrating diverse interests, along with conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities. Communicate clearly and effectively across all organizational levels, particularly in client interactions. Possess proficient language skills in both English and German.BENEFITS
