Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students, teachers, and parents with course and athletic team registrations.
  • Coordinate and organize athletic and after-school/holiday activities and programs.
  • Conduct research on risks, costs, and trends to design sports and activity programming for students.
  • Oversee existing lesson plans and programs, and revamp outdated documents.
  • Observe and support existing programming, and monitor new programming.
  • Provide feedback, develop, and deliver presentations to directors and office staff.
  • Research various sports, programs, and report to directors on successful programs.
  • Assist in creating resources for coaches and pre-event promotional planning.
  • Support gameday operations and assist with athlete academy fitness testing, assessment, benchmarking, and performance evaluation.
  • Support the PE department in delivering PE, Health, and Balance Curriculum.

Administration:

  • Provide administrative support daily and teaching programs weekly.
  • Communicate with coaches/instructors to gather feedback on existing programming and provide resources needed to succeed.
  • Meet with coaches/instructors to design new programs and assist in developing Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) plans.
  • Support FIS Athletics, REAL Activity Programs, PE Department, and Athlete Academy.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a career in sports management, education, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge base of sports and athletic programs.
  • Passion for sports and knowledge of sport development models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Highly organized and able to provide coaches/instructors with necessary resources.
  • Self-motivated, reliable team player with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong understanding of social media channels and best practices.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends with advance notice.
