Job Summary

The Dual Enrollment Coordinator is a key member of the Admissions and Records team at Tallahassee Community College. This role is responsible for overseeing the college's dual enrollment programs, ensuring seamless transitions for high school students, and fostering partnerships with local high schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive dual enrollment calendar, ensuring timely recruitment, enrollment, retention, and reporting processes.
    • Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Advising to establish and implement effective dual enrollment programs.
  • Student Support and Advising
    • Provide guidance and support to high school students, ensuring a smooth transition to post-secondary education.
    • Assist with the creation of academic maps and coordinate scheduling and delivery of dual enrollment courses.
  • Communication and Partnerships
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with high school personnel, fostering a collaborative environment for dual enrollment programs.
    • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to ensure successful program implementation and student outcomes.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis
    • Collect, code, and disseminate class rosters for registration of dual enrollment students each semester.
    • Initiate drop/add/withdrawal procedures for students and ensure accurate data for state and federal reports.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university.
    • Three years of related experience, with one year in a dual enrollment program.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong commitment to the mission of the community college.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of dual enrollment and community outreach functional areas.
    • Excellent supervisory, administrative, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related area
  • Experience with web publishing and social media tools
  • Excellent public speaking skills
