Position Description
We are excited to announce a new opportunity within our core Research and Development team at QIAGEN. You will be part of a team of development engineers dedicated to the design and innovation of laboratory products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independent design and development of plastic components in collaboration with external partners.
- Thorough documentation of the development process for plastic components, adhering to IVD standards.
- Advancement of technologies for laboratory products, including research, feasibility studies, patent evaluations, and development of proprietary patents.
- Creation of innovative microfluidic systems tailored for laboratory applications.
- Design and implementation of new testing and analysis methodologies for intricate plastic products.
Position Requirements:
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in developing complex plastic components, preferably within the medical technology or diagnostics sectors. A diverse and comprehensive background is highly valued.
Candidates should possess several years of experience in the manufacturing of plastic products and in the planning and implementation of sophisticated tools and systems based on mechanical engineering principles.
Strong analytical abilities and a solid foundation in statistics and test planning are essential.
We seek an innovative individual who is comfortable exploring new avenues and driving technological advancements.
A willingness to work autonomously and engage in hands-on laboratory and workshop tasks is crucial.
Proven experience in managing suppliers and partners is required.
Proficiency in both English and German, both written and spoken, is essential.
