We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Scientific Applications Specialist to enhance our team in the Europe region. This newly established role presents a unique chance to thrive in a vibrant environment and significantly impact the spectroscopy field.

Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Engage with prospective clients to evaluate samples and conduct product demonstrations at our application laboratory or at client locations across the Europe region.
  • Execute on-site installations, offer technical assistance, and provide user training for our clientele.
  • Participate in trade exhibitions and conferences to showcase our technology and advocate for new applications.
  • Build and sustain robust relationships with our network of academic and industrial partners and clients.
  • Contribute to the development of new instruments, methodologies, and applications.
  • Offer technical and application guidance to team members.
  • Compose application notes or collaborate on publications with clients.
Required Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. (including recent graduates) in a scientific or engineering discipline, ideally with a specialization in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or polymer science.
  • Familiarity with vibrational spectroscopy methods such as Infrared or Raman.
  • Exceptional communication abilities in English, both verbal and written. Proficiency in German is a significant advantage.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the European region (approximately 25% travel).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Experience with O-PTIR or nanoscale IR spectroscopy is preferred.
  • Adaptability in working hours due to client travel and international meetings.
