We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Scientific Applications Specialist to join our team in the Europe region. This newly established role presents a remarkable opportunity to thrive in a vibrant environment and contribute significantly to the spectroscopy field.
In this position, you will:
- Engage with prospective clients to analyze samples and conduct product demonstrations at our application laboratory or at client locations across the Europe region.
- Carry out on-site installations, deliver technical support, and provide training for users.
- Participate in trade shows and conferences to showcase our technology and highlight new applications.
- Build and sustain robust relationships with our network of academic and industrial partners and clients.
- Contribute to the development of new instruments, methodologies, and applications.
- Offer technical and application guidance to team members.
- Prepare application notes or collaborate on publications with clients.
- Ph.D. (including recent graduates) in a scientific or engineering discipline, ideally with a specialization in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or polymer science.
- Familiarity with vibrational spectroscopy techniques such as Infrared or Raman.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Proficiency in German is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to travel throughout the European region (approximately 25% travel).
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Experience with O-PTIR or nanoscale IR spectroscopy is preferred.
- Flexibility in working hours due to client travel and international meetings.
