Senior Database Administrator

Amadeus is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Database Administrator to join our growing team.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our critical database infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle databases, collaborating with development teams, and implementing best practices for database administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Oracle databases (19c, 23ai) in a Linux environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to design, implement, and optimize database solutions.
  • Develop and implement database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
  • Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Implement and maintain database backups and recovery procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest database technologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator with a strong understanding of Oracle database technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Experience with database automation tools such as Ansible, Python, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with MySQL/MariaDB (10.x+).
  • Microsoft Azure experience and/or certification.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English required, both in written and verbal communication.
