HSE Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Manager to join our team at LyondellBasell, specializing in the responsibility for the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) aspects of contractors.
Key Responsibilities and Objectives- Accountability for HSE-related aspects of contractor management
- Effective communication of HSE-related topics to contractors
- Accountability for HSE-related aspects at the Contractor Safety Board
- Accountability for HSE-related processes during contractor selection, review, integration, and evaluation
- Effective communication with contractor safety representatives
- Accountability for HSE in large projects and turnarounds. Member of the project and turnaround management team, turnaround core team, and safety technician leader for large turnarounds/projects
- Accountability for HSE-related aspects according to the Turnaround Excellence Model
- Liaison for internal and external turnaround audits
- Leadership of safety contractors during turnarounds and projects
- Guarantee of sustainable learning capabilities from experiences during turnarounds and projects
- Assumption of the project manager role for larger system changes to ensure compliance with external and internal standards for contractor safety
- Member of the site emergency management team
- Master's degree in Safety Engineering or a comparable field
- At least 3 years of experience in projects and/or turnarounds in the chemical or petrochemical industry
- Training as a safety representative (safety officer according to ArbSichG)
- Knowledge of IT tools, investigation tools
- Fluent German and English skills, written and spoken
- Strong analytical thinking ability. Invention of new and better ways for the organization to be successful. Use of lateral thinking. Questioning the status quo.
- Building partnerships and collaboration with others to achieve common goals, both within and outside of functions.
- Strong and effective communication skills
