Your Responsibilities

In this Sales Engineer role within the Infrastructure Development Systems (IDS), you will deliver technical sales support for the Infrastructure sector across the DACH and Eastern regions. You will report to the regional Sales Engineers Manager and collaborate closely with fellow Sales Engineers and Sales Managers to enhance dealer development and boost sales of our products and services.

We expect you to be a dedicated team player with a strong technical background, particularly in surveying. You are passionate about continuous learning and enjoy updating your skills. In this position, you will engage in hands-on activities, conducting product training, providing manufacturer support during site demonstrations/evaluations, and implementing professional practices for commissioning and training on our Construction portfolio of Machine Control systems, Site Positioning Systems, and Office/Field solutions software.

Key Duties include:

Assess dealer competency levels to identify, acquire, and subsequently train distribution sales and technical staff on the existing product range, tailored to each situation. Introduce new product launches to local distributors to ensure their knowledge base is current. Offer specialized pre-sale configuration support to dealers and other sales team members as needed. Address, prioritize, follow up, and assist in resolving inquiries or issues from dealers or any other team members. Conduct field installations, training, and demonstrations in collaboration with dealer personnel to ensure they can independently manage major account sales. Support company or dealer-sponsored field events, user conferences, trade exhibitions, or other activities in organizational, technical, and commercial aspects. Assist Product Managers in maintaining and updating products by documenting customer interactions, issues, and solutions to provide valuable insights for market acceptance. Collaborate with Product Managers in developing specific technical communications and training needs. Participate in new product launches and beta testing to ensure information and training requirements are fulfilled to support new product sales to dealers. Escalate field issues to the Global Services Support Center to ensure the appropriate product manager is involved in the resolution. Support the strategic OEM team and accounts as necessary. Provide insights on competitive products, activities, and assess market potential for all served markets and customer segments. Implement and follow up on pre-sales and post-sales training strategies in the region. Contribute to the overall development of other team members, showcasing your ability to work collaboratively. Required Skills & Experience

Background in infrastructure development, surveying, and/or machine control or related fields. Familiarity with construction software, CAD applications, and 3D modeling and workflows. High motivation and proactive approach. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective listening and presentation abilities. Proficiency in German and English. Strong team player with the capability to work independently and across various international teams in a matrix environment. Exceptional multitasking abilities and prioritization skills. Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%) within the region and occasionally abroad.

Additional Skills & Experience

Exposure to advanced technologies, such as machine control, telematics, software, or other relevant areas. Sales experience in the construction sector or any other relevant industry. Familiarity with telematics software for implementing office-field workflows and remote asset management. Knowledge of drone, scanning, and photogrammetry data collection and post-processing. A Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience is acceptable. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
