Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Technician - Turret Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, with a focus on turret systems.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and Repair Equipment: Diagnose system malfunctions, isolate causes, and correct deficiencies in heavy equipment, including turrets.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including turrets, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Parts Management: Identify and order replacement parts as needed to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure all repairs meet Amentum's high standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: 6 years' experience as a mechanic, with 4 years' specialized experience working with heavy equipment track vehicles equivalent to the M1A2, M2A3, M109A6.
- Skills: Army MOS 91A/91M/91P is preferred. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
