Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Identify and order replacement parts as needed
  • Collaborate with other technicians to resolve complex issues
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 years of experience as a mechanic required
  • Ability to meet and maintain all base access security requirements
  • Ability to obtain a US Passport
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
Working Conditions

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and outside weather conditions. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods is required.
