About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of innovative products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary team members to design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment.
  • Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant, and low-cost distributed storage, index, and query systems.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software and contribute to the development of industry-defining projects.
  • Participate in the conception, design, and implementation of new products and services.
Requirements
  • Graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields within the last 12 months.
  • Programming experience in C or Java/Rust.
  • Knowledge of databases and operating systems.
  • Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous technical internship(s) if applicable.
  • Experience with linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems and thinking abstractly.
