ABOUT THE TEAM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This senior role within our accounting division presents a unique opportunity to significantly influence the development of a small team into a distinguished entity.
- You will lead the formulation of our accounting policies (HGB, IFRS, RechKredV) across all business sectors, ensuring thorough documentation and execution.
- Serve as the main liaison for accounting issues, working closely with stakeholders across the organization to establish pertinent accounting standards and provide logical support for new product developments.
- Drive the continuous improvement of our accounting practices, independently managing various elements such as local GAAPs, IFRS transitions, and other essential topics.
- Engage in discussions with both internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including our annual group audit.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting, financial services, auditing, or a related field at a prestigious accounting or consulting firm.
- In-depth knowledge of technical accounting principles (HGB, IFRS), including practical experience with group reporting and consolidation.
- Previous experience in the financial services or banking sector, or within a fintech startup, demonstrating a deep understanding of banking-specific nuances and accounting complexities.
- A proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to articulate complex accounting concepts clearly.
