Sales Executive for Organic Colorants in Europe

Geiger Food Ingredients Recruitment & Consult is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Sales Director for Organic Pigments and Dyes within the Plastics, Coating, and Inks sector.

Location: Remote

Region: Europe

Educational Background: Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field

Essential Experience: Profound expertise in the Pigments and Dyes sector is required.

Key Responsibilities

Main Duties:

  • Formulate and implement a sales strategy to meet targets.
  • Plan resources effectively – Recruit, train, and oversee the sales team. Assess and manage the workload of the sales personnel.
  • Manage key accounts effectively.
  • Design and execute sales initiatives and strategies aimed at key demographics (Markets/Countries) for business expansion.
  • Identify industries utilizing dyes and pigments.
  • Conduct customer visits to understand their requirements, promote sales, and evaluate the quality of the company's relationships while gathering market insights.
  • Encourage lead generation through various channels including phone calls, exhibitions, and databases (Google, magazines, etc.).
  • Support the sales team in lead generation and closing new deals.
  • Set targets and monitor the sales budget using CRM, providing deviation reports for follow-up and investigating business losses to ensure effective management of existing accounts.
  • Analyze competitor data to refine sales strategies.
  • Handle price quotations, sample requests, and project discussions in accordance with internal CRM procedures.
  • Participate in exhibitions as required.
  • Diagnose customer complaints and provide solutions.
  • Follow up on critical debtors in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on daily tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on sales team performance.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and local languages.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing sales teams and commercial operations.
  • Extensive experience in customer engagement for product promotion.
  • Technical and commercial knowledge of industrial dyes and pigments.
  • Exceptional skills in business relationship management, with the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders to enhance business outcomes.
  • Ability to create impactful presentations to convey sales messages and address objections.
  • Proficient in structured persuasive techniques, delivered in a calm and effective manner.
  • Familiarity with IT tools (SAP, SAGE, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and the Internet).
