Treasury Director

Zalando GmbH is seeking a seasoned Treasury Director to lead its financial operations and drive strategic growth. As a key member of the company's leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing capital structure and funding, liquidity management, and risk management.
Your expertise in treasury functions, risk management, and capital markets will be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced strategies to ensure Zalando's financial health and sustainability.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including the management board, supervisory board, and audit committee, as well as external partners, such as financial institutions and investors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement short-, medium-, and long-term financing strategies to support Zalando's growth and profitability goals.
- Lead negotiations with financial institutions and build strong relationships to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Direct supervision of a team of 8 employees and mentoring team leaders to foster collaboration and design, manage, and develop high-performing teams.
- Proactively conceive and implement initiatives that align with Group Strategy, steering treasury-related projects and initiatives, such as pursuing a rating.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a culture of financial awareness and risk sensitivity across the organization.
A proven leader in treasury with experience in risk management, financing, cash management, and capital markets within large-scale organizations.
A demonstrated success in the treasury functions of multinational companies, with a deep understanding of international finance and operations.
Expertise in scaling treasury strategies in companies with revenues exceeding EUR 2 billion.
A background in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments, ideally in public companies.
Fluency in English, with German language skills as a plus, adept at communicating complex financial strategies.
Extensive leadership experience in consumer, data-focused, and technology-driven international businesses.
A customer-centric mindset, know how to put yourself in your client's shoes.
An experienced leader of leaders who is fostering collaboration and passionate about designing, managing, and developing teams.
