Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Financial Director to join our team at Frasers Hospitality. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to our hotels in Frankfurt and Hamburg, Germany.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate monthly P&Ls and Balance Sheets for the hotels, ensuring timely completion and adherence to IFRS and German regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting, financial operations, and provide support to operational managers across the two properties.
  • Cash Management: Review and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, including cash banking and safeguarding of cash floats in operation.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze and interpret monthly results, key performance indicators, and cost control by department, providing actionable insights to drive business growth.
  • Team Support: Assist junior finance staff within the hotel, coordinate accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and prepare financial statements, forecasts, and commentary on variance.
Requirements
  • Language Skills: Proficient in German language, with excellent writing and speaking skills.
  • Financial Experience: Demonstrable experience in financial management, with a background in hospitality or service-based industry an advantage.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including IFRS and German regulatory requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate financial information to various stakeholders, including non-financial professionals.
  • Systems Skills: Strong systems skills, with a mindset of continuous improvement and a disciplined approach to production and documentation of work.
