Housekeeping Department Manager

Job Summary:
Motel One is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality in our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Department Management: Coordinate and manage the housekeeping team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain Motel One's housekeeping standards, ensuring that all properties meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Scheduling and Planning: Create and manage duty and vacation schedules for the housekeeping team, ensuring that all shifts are covered and that the team is adequately staffed.
- Logistics and Supply Chain: Handle orders and deliveries within the housekeeping department, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available and that the team has what they need to perform their duties.
- Training and Development: Provide internal coaching, cross-training, and organize training sessions for the development of the housekeeping staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with external cleaning staff and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Educational background in hotel management or relevant work experience in housekeeping.
- Leadership and Development: Passion for employee development and some prior leadership experience.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, service-oriented mindset, and a knack for cleanliness.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills in both German and English.
- Teamwork: Team player willing to collaborate across departments.
