We are a leading international technology group in the areas of specialty glass and glass ceramics. Our Research & Development Team at our headquarters is seeking a highly skilled Computational Materials Scientist with expertise in Glass and Glass Ceramics to contribute to our innovative projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate materials simulation and materials informatics approaches with our R&D processes to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Analyze material-process-property relations to meet future product requirements and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Translate insights into industrial practice, ensuring seamless implementation and maximum impact.
  • Lead ambitious development projects, leveraging your expertise to drive success.
  • Nurture relationships with the scientific community and technology providers, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements.

Your Ideal Profile

  • Hold an excellent PhD in physics, chemistry, or materials science.
  • Be proficient in one major programming language (Python, C++, C, Fortran, etc.).
  • Possess experience in glass and glass ceramics, industrial development, machine-learned interatomic potentials, and/or data engineering.
  • Speak fluent business English (written and spoken) and be willing to learn German.
  • Be willing to travel abroad for business purposes.
