AI Engineer Opportunity at Cherry Ventures

Overview: We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to spearhead our initiatives in analyzing and interpreting biomedical data through advanced machine learning techniques and state-of-the-art large language models (LLMs).

Your Role:
  • Contribute to the establishment of our technological infrastructure and AI/data workflows.
  • Design and implement models for biomedical data analysis, including pattern recognition and anomaly detection.
  • Work closely with the technical team to deploy and maintain the developed models in a production environment.
  • Play a key role in shaping our data and AI product strategy.
Qualifications for Success:
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in roles such as ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer.
  • Proficient in the entire model development lifecycle, from data collection and preparation to deployment.
  • Strong background in NLP, including topic modeling, document classification, named entity recognition, and recommendation systems.
  • Expertise in transformer-based LLMs (e.g., BERT, GPT, Llama), including:
    • Advanced skills in prompt engineering techniques like zero/few-shot classification and Chain-Of-Thought.
    • Experience fine-tuning open-source language models on both labeled and unlabeled domain-specific datasets using methods such as LoRa and PEFT/ReFT.
    • Ability to validate and benchmark LLM performance for specific tasks.
    • Familiarity with LangChain is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Python and common data science libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn, with extensive experience in at least one major ML framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
  • Solid grasp of statistical principles and methodologies applicable to data analysis and model development.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data pipelines is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is beneficial.
