Key Responsibilities
The Lead Project Scheduler plays a crucial role in formulating and sustaining the project timeline based on the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). This position involves ensuring that project deadlines are adhered to and updating the schedule in accordance with project progress.
The responsibilities of the Lead Project Scheduler include, but are not limited to:
- Developing schedules for engineering projects in the energy sector
- Creating and monitoring timelines across all project stages (engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning)
- Reviewing, coordinating, optimizing, and benchmarking both internal and external schedules, including detailed construction timelines
- Monitoring progress, reporting, and identifying scheduling risks, utilizing tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis, while forecasting project milestones and formulating corrective actions
- Supporting the management of external schedulers during the bidding process, ensuring timely preparation of project management schedules
- Facilitating communication between external partners and internal departments
Candidate Profile
- A degree in engineering or industrial engineering
- Significant professional experience in scheduling and monitoring within plant construction
- Proven experience in operational project management in the energy sector
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly MS Project, Primavera P6, and Primavera Risk Analysis
- Strong ability to work independently and systematically, with flexibility and mobility
- Excellent communication skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness to travel for national and international projects
- Proficiency in German (C1 level) and strong English communication skills
