R&D Team Lead for Software Products

About the Job
We are seeking an experienced C++ software engineer to lead our R&D team in Hamburg, Germany. Our team focuses on developing industry-leading tools used by professionals worldwide.
Key Products
- Squish: A powerful tool for automating graphical user interface (GUI) testing across various platforms.
- Coco: A comprehensive code coverage tool for multiple programming languages.
- Test Center: A robust central server for managing and visualizing test results.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of skilled C++ software engineers, fostering their growth and development.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development and product management, to align priorities and planning.
- Design, develop, and maintain Squish, our leading tool for automating GUI testing.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions within your team and across other teams.
- Continuously enhance and expand our products by staying updated on the latest technologies, particularly in GUI automation.
- Engage with customers to address bug reports and feature requests, ensuring our products meet their needs.
About You
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Proven experience in C++ is a must.
- Experience in developing test automation tools, particularly GUI automation, is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing diverse teams is a must.
- Knowledge of Qt framework and scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or Ruby is a plus.
- Skilled in articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to facilitate clear and open communication within the team and across departments for effective collaboration.
- Advanced English communication skills both verbal and written.
