Your Role at TenneT

As a Civil Engineering Project Coordinator, you will oversee the planning and construction activities of the land station from inception (site investigations, facility layout, engineering/planning, and execution of civil works, commissioning of the planned systems) to handover to operations, thereby establishing a solid foundation for the installation of the high-voltage system.

  • You will be accountable for costs, schedules, quality, and safety within the sub-project and will report to project management.
  • Your assigned technical specialists will support you in achieving project objectives.
  • You will ensure the implementation of Safety by Design, creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Additionally, you will plan necessary measures and assist in the preparation of contractual documents, contract negotiations, and the creation of environmental permit applications.
  • You will be responsible for compliance with permits, regulations, specifications, and contract content, as well as ensuring adherence to documentation guidelines during the construction and commissioning phases.
  • Finally, you will contribute to the Lessons Learned process and the development of relevant specifications.

Your Profile

  • You hold a completed degree (University/Technical College) in Civil Engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • You possess relevant professional experience as a project leader, ideally from large-scale construction projects or industrial facility construction.
  • Your technical affinity combined with organizational skills distinguishes you, and a proven track record is advantageous.
  • As a team player, you demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, along with strong communication abilities.
  • You exhibit a Can Do mentality, creating solutions, showing initiative, commitment, and flexibility, including willingness to travel to construction sites and other locations.
