Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer to join our Global IT Network Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining and improving our global IT Network infrastructure with a focus on Wide Area Network (WAN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Build and manage our SD-WAN based Wide Area Network, creating standards and designs to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Security and Updates: Ensure that all network components are always updated with the latest security patches to maintain a secure and reliable network.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with local IT teams and global partners to manage WAN circuits, such as MPLS and DIA, and provide a budget plan to keep our infrastructure up to date.
  • Incident Management: Manage existing and new incidents and problems in the area of WAN, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and drive projects related to our Wide Area Network, including improvements and changes, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: University degree in computer science or an apprenticeship as an IT specialist, with initial work experience and existing VMWare SD-WAN training and/or certificate.
  • Technical Skills: Several years of professional experience with International Wide Area Network (WAN), extensive knowledge of Routing Protocols, WAN Protocols and technologies, and strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
  • Availability and Travel: Be available off-hours on an as needed basis and willing to travel as needed (2-3 times/year).
  • Language Skills: Good English skills, both written and spoken.
