Student Support Coordinator

Your Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated individual to become part of our UE Services - Student Hub Team in a full-time capacity, who shares our commitment to educational excellence and is eager to positively impact the experiences of our students and staff.

The Role:

The Student Hub Advisor plays a crucial role in guiding students throughout their Bachelor's or Master's degree journey by offering essential advice and support to ensure their academic success. The UE Student Hub Centre serves as the central hub for operational services and the primary contact point for student inquiries regarding academic matters or support requirements, such as application processes for financial aid, understanding health insurance, internship opportunities, exam retakes, and semester breaks, among others. If you are passionate about empowering students with the skills and resources they need to achieve their career aspirations, this position is ideal for you.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding and efficient service to students promptly
  • Address a diverse range of inquiries through various communication channels and in person
  • Organize student events and support student organizations to enhance engagement and foster a sense of community
  • Proactively reach out to students identified by faculty or staff as at risk of disengagement and provide tailored support to meet their needs
  • Assist in identifying student challenges and connect them with appropriate support services
  • Maintain current knowledge of campus support services to effectively guide students
  • Oversee and assist in the peer mentoring program, including training student mentors
  • Contribute suggestions for enhancing the campus and learning environment to relevant departments
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Your Profile

  • Proficient in both written and spoken German and English

  • Outstanding service-oriented skills
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing events, such as orientation days for new students
  • Proven initiative in problem-solving and proactively addressing student concerns
  • 1-3 years of experience in student services or a related field; completion of a vocational training program; practical experience in customer service-oriented roles, such as hospitality, administration, or higher education
