Job Description

The EMEA Aftermarket Team is an international group comprising field service professionals across multiple countries, dedicated to supporting pharmaceutical companies in achieving optimal results through certified water quality, a critical factor in pharmaceutical processes.

As a Technical Service Specialist (Region: Central and Northern Germany) within the EMEA Aftermarket Team, you will engage with our mobile and stationary devices primarily utilized in pharmaceutical laboratories.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing the commissioning and validation of new SIEVERS analytical devices.
  • Performing maintenance, calibration, and verification of SIEVERS equipment at client sites, adhering to established protocols.
  • Conducting repairs as necessary, ensuring timely service while considering customer needs.
  • Managing administrative tasks such as service reports, calibration certificates, spare part orders, and expense claims.

Once established in this role, you will also:

  • Provide basic telephone support to clients.
  • Offer recommendations on processes and policies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous self-improvement by staying updated on all quality operating instructions (QOI) both in the factory and on-site.
  • Conduct training and mentorship for new employees as required.
  • Proactively manage EHS matters, reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses.

The Technical Service Specialist enjoys flexibility in scheduling visits, allowing for alignment with both business and personal agendas.

Regular meetings with other international service departments facilitate the exchange of ideas and the establishment of best practices, reflecting the international nature of our daily operations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Background in chemistry, engineering, or laboratory experience with TOC analyzers. A degree or equivalent knowledge and experience is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills and the capacity to learn other software applications such as Salesforce and SIEVERS emulators.
  • Fluent command of the German language, both spoken and written (mandatory), with proficiency in English being advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license (B).

Desirable Knowledge:

  • Experience with or knowledge of relevant laboratory instruments, ideally within the pharmaceutical, water treatment, or similar industries.
  • Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., French) is a plus.
