Senior Manager for Natural Climate Solutions
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development of nature-based climate initiatives and significantly contribute to combating climate change through the execution of high-quality carbon reduction and removal projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of nature-based climate initiatives, including conducting feasibility assessments and drafting project documentation (PDDs) in alignment with international carbon standards (Verra, Gold Standard, CAR).
- Plan and execute the complete carbon project development lifecycle, encompassing reports for project registration, validation, and verification.
- Ensure compliance of carbon initiatives with annual monitoring and updates to standard guidelines.
- Assist in quality assurance checks for deliverables to guarantee the certification of premium nature-based projects.
- Design, organize, and conduct site assessments and travel to project locations as necessary.
- Collaborate with other divisions to maintain an updated carbon portfolio.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on the development and execution of advisory nature-based projects.
Your Qualifications
- Degree in forestry, sustainable resource management, agriculture, agroforestry studies, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in carbon project development.
- In-depth knowledge of international carbon standards (Verra, Gold Standard, CAR) and practical experience working with these frameworks.
- Experience in designing and implementing monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) plans for carbon initiatives.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
