Key Responsibilities- Lead and Mentor AML Team: Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, ensuring the continuous development and updating of internal policies.
- Develop and Implement Controls: Take responsibility for leading the development, implementation, and enhancement of controls to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing, with a specific focus on transaction monitoring.
- External Liaison: Act as the primary contact for external investigative authorities, supporting the creation and execution of comprehensive risk analyses.
- Investigate Suspicious Transactions: Investigate unusual and suspicious transactions, providing expert advice to other teams on the requirements of the Money Laundering Act and the interpretation and implementation of other regulatory requirements.
- Project Management: Manage projects, assess them from a regulatory perspective, and integrate them into the bank's operational processes.
- Training and Development: Provide regular training and development opportunities to team members to ensure they remain knowledgeable about current AML regulations and best practices.
- Performance Evaluations: Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Team Environment: Promote a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, and addressing any conflicts or issues promptly and effectively.
- Experience: Possess completed training as a bank clerk and at least 5 years of experience in the AML field, particularly in transaction monitoring.
- Knowledge: Bring relevant professional experience and strong knowledge in implementing regulatory requirements to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes.
- Communication: Present complex issues and processes in a structured and comprehensible manner.
- Skills: Demonstrate a strong hands-on mentality and a commitment to high-quality standards, being trustworthy, motivated, and an effective team leader.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Collaboration: Capable of fostering a collaborative team environment and driving team performance.
- Conflict Resolution: Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
- Language: Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, are required.
