ESG Legal Advisor

At Planted, we are committed to empowering organizations in their journey towards achieving Net Zero. Our innovative software solution enables businesses to assess and minimize their carbon footprint, generate comprehensive ESG reports, and offset unavoidable emissions. Furthermore, companies can establish their own corporate forests in Germany or safeguard local woodlands with the assistance of our internal climate forester, Jan.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver ongoing insights and updates regarding reporting obligations (CSRD) to assist the product team in ensuring our offerings align with regulatory requirements.
- Guarantee adherence to all pertinent laws, regulations, and industry standards related to sustainability, particularly the EU Taxonomy, CSRD, and Green Claims Directive.
- Evaluate and identify sustainability-related risks.
- Educate and promote awareness among our corporate clients regarding sustainable reporting practices.
- Establish metrics and indicators to monitor and assess progress towards sustainability objectives.
- Background in legal studies or currently pursuing a law degree.
- Initial experience in the legal dimensions of sustainability regulations.
- Strong commitment to environmental preservation.
- Familiarity with concepts such as ESG, CSRD/ESRS, Materiality, and Supply Chain Due Diligence.
- Excellent communication skills and openness to engaging with clients.
- Ability to demonstrate a structured and autonomous work style.
- Passion for environmental protection and sustainability initiatives.
