Legal Advisor with a Focus on ESG and CSRD

Legal Compliance Advisor at Planted

Our innovative software solution empowers businesses to assess and mitigate their CO2 emissions, generate ESG reports, and offset unavoidable emissions. Furthermore, we offer the opportunity for companies to cultivate their own forest in Germany or protect local woodlands through our dedicated climate forester, Jan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver ongoing insights and information regarding reporting obligations (CSRD) to assist the product team in ensuring our offerings meet compliance standards.
  • Guarantee adherence to all pertinent laws, regulations, and industry benchmarks concerning sustainability, particularly the EU Taxonomy, CSRD, and Green Claims Directive.
  • Evaluate and identify sustainability-related risks.
  • Educate and enhance awareness among our corporate clients regarding sustainable reporting practices.
  • Establish metrics and indicators to monitor and assess progress towards sustainability objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Background in legal studies or currently pursuing a law degree.
  • Initial experience in the legal dimensions of sustainability regulations.
  • Strong commitment to environmental preservation.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as ESG, CSRD/ESRS, Materiality, and Supply Chain Due Diligence.
  • Effective communication skills and a willingness to engage with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
  • Passion for environmental protection and sustainability initiatives.
