Position Overview
At Swiss Re, we are pioneering a transformative Risk Data & Services platform aimed at delivering exceptional risk insights and services to our corporate clientele through a diverse range of risk data and advanced analytics. We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to engage with corporate clients across Europe, particularly focusing on expanding our footprint in the DACH region.
As a Senior Sales Executive for Risk Data & Services, your primary responsibility will be to enhance our customer base in Germany/DACH by identifying, nurturing, and securing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in risk management within corporations. This role embodies an entrepreneurial spirit, and we are in search of a senior sales expert with a robust background in SaaS, AI software, and/or cloud platform sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Propel new and cross-sales initiatives within the Germany/DACH market.
- Develop and execute a territory strategy to surpass sales targets and revenue goals.
- Identify, cultivate, and finalize new business opportunities with pivotal customer stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with C-level executives within the regional risk management landscape, including clients, service providers, prospects, and partners.
- Tackle deal-level challenges both independently and collaboratively.
You will also coordinate client engagement efforts across Germany/DACH, sharing accountability for success with your team:
- Establish sales forecasts, enhance our commercial offerings, refine business case development, identify scalable market opportunities, and articulate a compelling value proposition.
- Ensure that customer feedback is communicated back to product management.
- Lead client-facing initiatives, maintaining open communication channels aligned with business strategies and the needs of sponsors.
Collaboration and Teamwork
Success in this role hinges on collaboration. You will partner with various teams possessing deep expertise to refine our offerings, including key account managers, underwriters, engineers, market bodies, brokers, and other service providers. The success of the team is intrinsically linked to your success; thus, integration within the broader team is essential.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling large, complex enterprise-grade SaaS/AI/cloud platform solutions.
- Proven track record of securing business for new SaaS/Platform/Cloud services, with evidence of winning strategic deals in competitive markets.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in support of closing new business.
- Master’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Native German speaker with business-level proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in an additional European language is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the European commercial risk insights market, particularly in areas such as climate risk, supply chain risk, or property risk.
This role may involve occasional travel within the DACH region, not exceeding 30% of your time.
