Head of Supplier Engagement

The Supplier Support Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager of Supplier Support, will oversee a dedicated team that engages with our suppliers on a daily basis. This role is essential in ensuring a premier experience by serving as a trusted consultant and guiding suppliers on compliance and quality data submission. The team is pivotal to our overall Global Service department. The Supplier Support Manager will concentrate on enhancing the team's email communication skills, telephone interaction capabilities, and proficiency in navigating intricate supplier situations. Furthermore, the Manager will work closely with upper management to continually enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily functions of the Supplier Support team, which includes but is not limited to:
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, analyzing trends, and providing actionable insights;
- Planning and managing team workload, prioritizing tasks, and efficiently allocating resources;
- Implementing effective performance management through constructive feedback, employee recognition, and development plans for high achievers;
- Encouraging innovation and enhancing the efficiency of business processes to improve quality, effectiveness, and productivity;
- Conducting weekly team meetings and engaging in bi-weekly one-on-ones with team members as necessary;
- Acting as an escalation point for supplier/client concerns, performing thorough investigations as needed;
- Recruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team that fosters a world-class supplier experience;
- Promoting and maintaining a diverse, inclusive, and service-oriented work culture within the Supplier Support team;
- Collaborating with all teams within Professional Services to address any training gaps or provide additional knowledge of Supplier Support processes;
- Facilitating assessments of the team's knowledge, skills, and abilities to accomplish tasks and projects;
- Providing and facilitating training for the team and new members to address any identified training gaps;
- Establishing, measuring, and reporting on optimal tools, practices, and processes for highly productive engagement with our customers' suppliers;
- Staying updated on regulatory changes to best support our clients' suppliers;
- Understanding corporate security policies and adhering to the processes and procedures of Assent Compliance.
Qualifications

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and German, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and diplomatically;
- Experience in managing remote teams and collaborating with international stakeholders is highly regarded;
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant management experience in a similar role;
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, focusing on knowledge transfer and skill enhancement;
- A strong interest in supporting the growth of others, with the capability to provide constructive feedback and guidance.
