Maintenance Engineer with IoT Focus

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented working student to join our Maintenance Engineering team at Mercedes-Benz AG. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing production technologies, with a focus on IoT data analysis and visualization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and apply an understanding of IoT data structures and telegrams
- Learn and familiarize yourself with visualization tools and software
- Create, implement, and maintain dashboards for real-time monitoring of applications
- Analyze and investigate IoT data
- Respond quickly to requirements in the field of visualization
- Document and report on activities carried out, especially with regard to IoT data analysis
- Perform quality checks for dashboards
- Perform error analyses in collaboration with engineers via IoT data
- Active participation in solving technical challenges and developing and implementing solutions
- Degree in a relevant technical field, e.g. computer science, data science, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering with a focus on Industry 4.0 or a related technical degree program
- Written and spoken German language skills of at least level B2
- Confident use of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
- Basic knowledge of joining technology is desirable, but not essential
- Interest in joining processes in automotive engineering
- Technical understanding and the ability to grasp complex technical relationships
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, especially in the context of IoT data analysis
- Experience or interest in data structures and telegrams in the IoT context
- Perseverance and patience in troubleshooting and debugging dashboards
- Python programming
- Basic knowledge of data science
- Familiarity with Power BI
- Independent and structured way of working
- Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
