Asset and License Management Specialist

As an Asset and License Management Specialist at Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg, you will play a crucial role in the development and upkeep of asset management protocols. Collaborating with operational teams, you will refine processes to guarantee efficient operations. The Configuration Management Database (CMDB) will serve as the cornerstone of your activities, working alongside administrators to enhance its functionality and automate asset detection. Promptly addressing incidents, offering solutions, and spearheading improvements through engaging projects are vital components of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee the availability and accuracy of assets, reporting findings to senior leadership
  • Assist teams in standardizing IT asset management processes
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws to avoid penalties
  • Conduct an enterprise-wide inventory of diverse IT resources
  • Oversee scans of hardware and software within the IT infrastructure
  • Manage license procurement and administration
  • Serve as the Service Owner for asset management

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Proficient understanding of asset and license management practices
  • Experience in incident resolution, problem management, and change control
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and ITIL best practices
  • Ability to work independently and maintain an organized approach
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL or PMP are advantageous
  • Knowledge of banking regulatory standards and processes is a plus
