Unit Overview The Business Technology Operations (BTO) unit is pivotal in driving supply security, facilitating the energy transition, and ensuring organizational and financial robustness through digital innovation, data utilization, and analytics. BTO is focused on establishing a strong foundation through exceptional end-user services, top-tier cybersecurity measures, and resilient data centers and cloud infrastructures. By fostering strategic partnerships and maintaining clear architectural standards, BTO aims to unlock the potential of data and digital technologies, embedding innovation into business strategies.
Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Platform Engineer (m/w/d) to enhance our Digital & Data team. In this capacity, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the technical backbone of the TenneT Data Cloud Platform (PaaS). Your role will involve automating infrastructure processes to boost efficiency and reliability, allowing product teams to concentrate on application development rather than infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Develop tools and scripts to streamline platform operations.
- Integrate monitoring and alerting systems to oversee platform health and performance.
- Enhance platform performance and operational efficiency.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless platform deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain a containerized document control application deployed via Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, including Virtual Machines and Data Lake Service.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, for automating cloud resource management.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes, along with programming skills in Python and scripting in Bash or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD methodologies and tools like Azure Pipelines or GitHub.
- Strong communication skills in German (both written and verbal); proficiency in English is advantageous.
