Unit OverviewThe Business Technology Operations (BTO) unit is pivotal in driving security of supply, facilitating the energy transition, and maintaining organizational and financial health through digital innovation, data management, and analytics. BTO focuses on establishing robust foundations through seamless end-user services, leading cybersecurity measures, and resilient data centers and cloud infrastructures. We aim for consistent alignment between business and BTO, fostering strategic partnerships with vendors and setting clear standards for architecture, vendor management, and security. Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Cloud Platform Engineer to enhance our Digital & Data team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the technical infrastructure that underpins the TenneT Data Cloud Platform (PaaS). Your contributions will support our product teams by automating infrastructure processes, thereby enhancing their operational efficiency. You will empower developers to concentrate on application development rather than infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities- Automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Develop tools and scripts to streamline platform operations.
- Integrate monitoring and alerting systems to oversee platform health and performance.
- Optimize platform performance and operational efficiency.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for effective platform deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the containerized document control application deployed via Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, including Virtual Machines and Data Lake Service.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, for automating cloud resource management.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes, along with programming skills in Python and scripting abilities in Bash or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD methodologies and tools like Azure Pipelines or GitHub.
- Strong communication skills in German (both verbal and written); proficiency in English is advantageous.
