Manager of Financial Services Audits

As a Manager in Financial Auditing, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the annual and consolidated audits for entities within the financial services industry, particularly focusing on banking institutions. Your approach will be rooted in a risk-oriented audit methodology, ensuring compliance with both HGB and IFRS standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the audit process for financial statements of banks and financial service providers, ensuring thorough compliance with HGB and IFRS.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of business models, operational processes, and financial outcomes, contributing to the assessment of organizational structure and addressing key issues related to accounting, valuation, and risk management.
- As a Senior Manager, you will guide and inspire a team of 5 to 10 professionals, serving as the primary liaison for clients during audits.
- Conduct audits of credit, custody, and securities operations, while providing insights on regulatory matters.
- A minimum of several years' experience in auditing financial statements for banks, asset managers, or financial service providers, with a strong understanding of HGB and IFRS reporting.
- A degree in economics, ideally with a specialization in auditing, taxation, accounting, or finance.
- Completion of a CPA qualification and experience in team leadership are considered advantageous.
- Demonstrated motivation, proactive attitude, and strong leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills in both German and English.
