GMV is seeking a skilled Subsystem Engineer to join our team at the Columbus Control Center
We are looking for an engineer with a passion for subsystem engineering to take on the responsibility of the Data Services System (DaSS) operations and maintenance. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining the data subsystem to meet customer requirements. You will also provide support for other systems at Col-CC and develop tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot the current data subsystem to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Collaborate with Level 3 contractors for system upgrades and troubleshooting to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime
- Suggest system improvements to stay ahead of technological advancements and meet evolving customer needs
- Design, conceptualize, and implement subsystems to meet customer requirements and enhance operational efficiency
- Establish and maintain a DTN testbed to ensure thorough testing and validation of subsystems
- Provide mission-critical phase support to ensure timely and successful completion of projects
- Keep system documentation up to date to ensure easy access to information and minimize knowledge gaps
- Train Ground Control Team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Linux Operating Systems to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime
- Experience with high availability services to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Knowledge of network technology and Virtualization to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime
- Ability to create and analyze algorithms in Java, C/C++ to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as bash and gnuplot to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime
- Familiarity with MySQL and MariaDB to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime
- Hardware and software interface understanding to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime
- Experience with CCSDS protocols and implementation to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime
